Short abstract:
The renewable energy sources (electric, wind, solar, biomass,..) are, and will be more and more, brought to cohabit on the same urban sites. However, they need to have a real overall management and design strategy. As several systems rely on multiple energy sources, power distribution strategy must be implemented by matching the supply and the demand. The balance between production and consumption must be carefully conducted to ensure the availability of power with safety and efficiency. The workshop will focus on adapting the design of environmental infrastructure according to the needs for the collective housing unit of the Mediterranean countries.

The main topics may be (can be extended):

Efficient methodologies for an optimal multi-source and multi-users management

Collective RE use in urban area preserving comfort and service quality.

To improve, optimize and control the energy production

Reduction of the consumption by coupling several power sources.

Predictive controls to ensure the balance between production and consumption

Information & Computing technologies for Renewable Energies

Optimal switching operation of the different renewable power sources.
